/ Welcome to the Munich Literature Festival

The Literaturfest München (Munich Literature Festival) has 3 major program components, the curator program “forum:autoren” (author’s forum), the Münchner Bücherschau (Munich Book Show) and the program of the Literaturhaus (House of Literature) together with the fair of independent publishers “Different Books for the Country”. The award ceremony for the Geschwister Scholl Prize will also be part of the festival.

The literature festival is being presented by the Literaturhaus München Foundation as well as the “Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels – Landesverband Bayern” (The Bavarian Publishers and Booksellers Association) -  in collaboration with the Department of Arts and Culture of the city of Munich. It is sponsored by the Bavarian Ministry of Science, Research and Arts, radiostation Bayern2 and the magazine “Buchjournal” are media partners.
